Women’s Memorial Service in Pretoria
(Facebook Post by Veteran Belinda Van Fleet 10th Aug 2026)
SAMVOZA Chairman, Veteran Colin Bowring and Vice Chairman, Veteran Terry Spencer, represented SAMVO today at the Women’s Memorial Service in Pretoria. Well done gentlemen, looking sharp!
This event aligns with the commemoration of the official start of the ceasefire of the Angolan Bush War, on August 8th, 1988 and with Ops Meebos on August 9th, 1982.
Salute and respect to all the men and women who so proudly served our beloved South Africa, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. We will always remember them.
