About the Event
In 2012, President Obama signed a presidential proclamation, designating March 29 as the annual observance of Vietnam War Veterans Day. The signing of the proclamation marked the 50th anniversary of the departure of the last American troops from Vietnam — March 29, 1973.
To honour Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service and remember the men and women who put the lives of others ahead of their own to serve during one of America’s longest foreign wars.
One can also attend events and pinning ceremonies held nationwide to commemorate these courageous individuals. Together, we can ensure current and future generations never forget the service and sacrifice of Vietnam Veterans.
